Only One More Sleep

Good morning faithful readers...

I am recovering from a busy weekend...but am in a great mood! Tomorrow after lunch, I am taking my family back to Disney World for a few days!

I know what you are saying...again!?! Yep. Again. And there will be another trip as soon as we are able to get there again. We start planning the next one in the hotel room toward the end of the current trip...

We just love it there. Which makes me think of a story...

When I was about to leave for college (back in 1989...) I had plans to work at Walt Disney World as a cast member at the Haunted Mansion. Everything was in place to make that happen....then I changed my mind. I had been dating Mindy for a short while and decided that she was worth staying close by at FAU for. If I left, our relationship had very little chance of surviving the college years. I have never regretted that decision to stay local for college. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

I didn't get the chance to be a Haunted Mansion butler, but I did marry my best friend.

Well, we are heading out tomorrow...no real specific plans to do anything in particular. I like trips like that. Just kinda going with the flow... decompressing for a few days....

Tonight might be tough, though. I have a difficult time trying to sleep before going to Disney. I know it sounds like I am 7 years old again waiting for Christmas morning, but it's true. I don't know if it is the memories that Disney holds, or the fun we have as a family, or the smell of fresh popcorn on Main Street that gets me so ready to go...I just know that as of tomorrow night I will be at the Happiest Place on Earth. You've got to have a place like that in your life.
