Waxing Nostalgic

Wow...faithful readers...3 posts and a new poll all in one night....

That picture to the left is me. My parents dressed me like that. I think they wanted me to match the red shag carpeting. Dig the 8 tracks!

I've just been in the wayback machine and decided to dig up some locations from my past... do you remember the places from the photos below? If so...please let me know!

Wow Six Flag Atlantis!! I think I celebrated every b-day from age 10 - 14 there. I remember being petrified to go down that Thunder slide that went straight down, my dad finally forced me. I'm not sure why it closed down perhaps the misuse of millions of gallons of water or the crowd got too intense or the fact that you have that many people sharing the germs in the same pool Yuck didn't think about that then.
My mom shopped at Zayre's when she first came from Cuba she would talk about it all the time. It was like the highlight of her week to be in a store so big.. she then moved on to Burdines.
Thanks for bringing up all those memories it seems like worlds and lifetimes ago ... Talk to you later gotta call my therapist now :) - Jen

Hi Brian.

I remember 2 out of 3 (Zayre's and Atlantis). Where was Circus Playhouse located? Zayre's was our Walmart for us here in Hialeah.

Wow, i remember going to Six Flags and going on this one slide that you had like this float board that you would put your knees on and then slide down. Yup I remember the day clearly, i was like 8, made it to the top and then cried bc i was so freaked out. Everyone stared me down as my mom walked me down to dry land. haha
