Ever Seen a Grown Man Naked?

Greetings faithful readers...

Well the social experiment that we are calling "MyNakedPastor.com" is kicking off soon! I've got to tell you, I am looking forward to 2 things:

1) Watching/Capturing the feed
2) Watching God use it

We've been working hard on the media side putting together small group material that coincides with the series. It has come out great and I am excited to put it into the hands of those that are stepping up and accepting the challenge of starting a small group....a fantastic tool that can do powerful things in a group!

When I first heard that Troy was going to be "naked" I wasn't sure what to make of it. Our pastor on camera in his house 24/7 exposed to the world? Why? Isn't there risk involved in showing people who you really are? Yep. Scary risk. Is is worth it? Definitely.

Think about it a second. Troy shows everybody that he is a real life person....people begin to see that their own lives don't have to be perfect to follow Christ...they take a risk and check out the church....they begin to understand and accept the love of Christ in their lives....they accept Christ...they spend eternity a different person.

This series has tremendous potential. It isn't a gimmick. It isn't for press. It isn't to put Troy in the limelight...it's about authenticity.

Here's my guarantee as a media producer at FRC. I WILL NOT edit/create/fudge/change/alter/adapt any of the footage so that Troy is seen differently than he really is. This is all about nakedness. Getting real before God.

The goal is not just Troy getting "naked" - but all of us as well. Being real. Being who God wants us to be NOT what we want others to see.
