Jingle Jog

Greetings Faithful Readers...

Well I survived the Jingle Jog! I felt totally like a rookie out there...but felt great afterwards! Here are the results of all of the Flamingo folks that I could find:

Name Finished In

Asher Shashaty 30:32
Espy Mize 31:15
Janette Kerr 31:15
Brian Vasil 32:16
Oana Lupulescu 39:53

I came in 551st overall (about 1000 runners). I've got to tell you...I am a little sore, a little tired, but overall GREAT! I have been told that my pace was really good for a first-time runner in that kind of race. I ran into at least 7 people that go to Flamingo Road (if you are one of them...let me know your times and I will amend this list). It was so cool to just be able to run in this race. My weight loss and exercise regimen has done me so much good both mentally and physically. When you feel better about yourself health-wise, it is amazing how that bleeds over into other areas of your life.

Thanks to Espy, Janette, Asher, and Oana for running with me...next year let's bring our teams!

Hi, My husband and I saw you at the jog yesterday. Congraats to you for reaching your goal. Will it be a 10k next?? We should start a runners group at FRC. It would be fun to do the 5k's with a group. Just think, T-shirts etc. Good way to reach people!!! Keep up the good work.
There's a 10k 3/15/08, Maybe we'll see ya there.
Oh yeah, my time was 34:56/ 11:15

We chatted at the race too Brian, congrats on your first 5k! Since we are moving we won't see you at another but good luck, you'd be surprised how much you will enjoy them. There are some really good races and what a great time of day to spend in Gods creation.
My time was 34.39 and Jonathan was 30.38, he finished just 2 ahead of you.
