Greetings Faithful Readers...
I get asked once in awhile what books I'm in the middle of... Here's a quick trip to my night table...
Mac OS X Leopard - Beyond the Manual - A delightfully frisky and light romp through such pedestrian topics as Darwin, the Kernel, and how to set up Automator. This bug-killer doorstop is fascinating reading for the narcoleptic mac-head (like me). I really like this book and am nearly finished with it... all 598 pages.
The Next Level: A Parable of Finding Your Place in Life - a Parable story about finding your purpose and living each day to the fullest. A quick read that can really make an impact on your life. Only about 120 pages long and reads just like a novel....
I'm getting ready to start this one:
A Voyage Long and Strange - Tony Horwitz - This is the guy who wrote one of my favorite Civil War-related books "Confederates in the Attic" Essentially he is a journalist that writes history. He is as concerned about the present in his writings as he is about chronicling the past. A very entertaining writer of non-fiction.
That's it for now. What about you? Read any good books lately?
