An Incredible Friday Night @ F3

Greetings Faithful Readers,

Last Friday night, the Media team at Flamingo Road Church had an amazing event that I was blessed to be a part of... the First Annual Flamingo Film Festival 2008! Heredes asked me to share a few words about my tenure as the media pastor...and give some encouragement to the team that was doing it currently.


I was completely blown away by this event.

From the minute I walked through the door into the Children's auditorium...I knew that this was going to be a special night. This wasn't just a meeting...it was a catered event. Tablecloths with movie reel centerpieces...special decals on notebooks...movie music playing...cardboard standups of famous characters all around...the works...

We all played games and ate together. Then the lights dimmed and they played a recap video of what I had done as team leader...It was extremely well done (and flattering)... I then got the chance to share some thoughts about my experiences on the Media Team. I was nearly brought to tears as I looked around the room. It warmed my heart so much to see so many people now part of the team that I was blessed to have started.

I would like to tell everyone involved that put in so much time to make that evening amazing...thank you. Sincerely. I will never forget it...you made my family and I feel so special.

The greatest part of Friday night was the knowledge that "The best IS yet to come"
