Goodbye and Hello

Greetings faithful readers...

First...the goodbye part. Today was a hard day at our house. We said goodbye to Lady. Our cat of 14 years. We got her just before we got married. She's been there every step of the way. Through every place we've lived...through the birth of Brianna... She was very sick and didn't get better after a week of intense care. We will miss her, but know that it was absolutely the right thing to do. It is a part of being a responsible pet owner. That doesn't make it any easier. She was a part of our family and she will be missed.

On the Hello part... I clutch in my hands....ready...a box of Alpha Bits cereal.











I found it at Target. The guy standing next to me looked at me strangely as I lofted the box of oat-filled alpha goodness over my head in triumph. I bought three boxes and a gallon of milk.

I've had quite the roller coaster of emotions today. I know it's weird to be so attached to a cereal...but it was a silly relief to me to find it after a tough morning. Simple things, you know?
