Viva Las Recap

Greetings Faithful Readers...

Well it was back to the Internet Campus studio after a week at NAB in Las Vegas. I was asked by so many tonight if I "had a good trip" in Las Vegas. Honestly, I don't know if this is possible...but I did learn a few things and made a few observations. I know my last post was a list...but it is the best way I could think of to deliver disconnected thoughts in a somewhat orderly way...

1) We went to see the Cirque show..."Love" at the Mirage. What an incredible show! The stagecraft, lighting, sound, performance, and tech that went into this show was absolutely amazing. If you are ever in Vegas...make a point to go. The tickets are a bit pricey...but it is worth it.

2) The M&Ms store in Las Vegas is 4 stories tall. They have everything from M and M banks to guitars to fine gold jewelry. Honestly, I don't know what else they could possibly put that logo on.... the candy was available as well...at the discount price of 11 dollars a pound. Melts in your mouth not in your wallet.

3) I had a chocolate flavored Diet Coke in the Coke store on The Strip. Mmmmm....

4) We ate lunch one day at the Peppermill. Think of it as a cross between Denny's and a strip club (just the look...no strippers inside...). The interior has neon lights, palm trees, a fire pit....and a mean grilled cheese sandwich. This photo is some of the group that ate there together.

5) Carolina deserves the biggest credit from the trip. The only female there. A rose among thorns.

6) I could model for the Sears catalog...look at this photo from the trip!

7) Heredes still does the best imitation of Heredes.

8 ) I walked to Arizona. One side of Hoover Dam is in Nevada and the other is in Arizona.

9) If the tech team were to ever record an album together...this would have to be the cover.

10) The trip was a great success. We all learned so much in our ministries...had some fun...and discovered something about each other. I would share what we learned...but you know what they say...it has to stay in Vegas!

Thanks for stopping by...see you on campus!
