Well faithful readers...I'm back...and I deserve some mad kudos. I picked Jordin Sparks on Feb. 22, 2007...right after she auditioned on American Idol. Prophet? Nah....just a fine judge of talent.... That's really the first time I've ever been right like that.
Notables from tonight's show:
1) Sanjaya and Joe Perry? That is one of the signs of the apocalypse. The end is nigh.
2) What's with the idols singing Sgt. Pepper tunes? These kids have no idea what a record is- let alone the Beatles. Was anybody else waiting for Paul McCartney or Ringo Starr to walk out and sing with them? Last year we had Prince...this year we get Gwen Stefani wrapped in a Sari.
3) Where was Fantasia?
4) What's up with Kelly Clarkson? The black eyeshadow and stuff just makes her look like a poor man's Alanis Morrisette...
5) Doug E. Fresh is still the man.
6) It would have been a great time for Apple to announce that it was releasing the Beatles catalog on iTunes. Right after the Beatles medley....you know....forget it.
7) Paula Abdul acted high on pain meds.
That's about it. Just a dip into my head.
Oh by the way...Matt Miller was wrong. Blake didn't win.

Speaking of The Beatles... have you heard their remastered "Cirque Du Soleil" CD. It was produced by Sir George Martin (Beatle's one and only , original producer) and his son. Not bad - I can hok you up if you'd like... my wife and I will be hitting Vegas to watch it it live A$AP. :)
